A leading financial services firm are seeking a Deputy Head of Compliance to join their Retail Financial Services Compliance team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance you will oversee and perform all compliance governance, policy, advice,
training, monitoring and assurance and reporting requirements in relation to the function.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Compliance in facilitating a proactive
compliance risk awareness and management culture which remains relevant to the
prevailing business strategy and regulatory environment
- Contribute and participate in Board, Audit and Risk Committee, Second Line of Defence
Compliance Risk Governance Committees and attending and participating in
relevant First Line of Defence Governance Committees
- Oversee the
refresh of existing Compliance Policies for new/amended Regulatory Requirements
and Standards
- Develop a strong annual risk based Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Plan
- Engage with the regulator on the compliance risk framework and other key areas
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in a senior role within Compliance, Risk or Audit within Financial Services
- Hold a professional certification within Compliance
- Experience working in a Three Lines of Defence (3LOD) Risk Management model
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet key deadlines on projects
