We have partnered with a European Infrastructure Private Equity fund to appoint an Investment Director to its Milan office and oversee origination and execution of mid-market transactions.
As the Investment Director for Infrastructure Equity in Milan, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the investment activities, strategies, and portfolio management for infrastructure assets within the firm. You will work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with a highly skilled team to identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities while ensuring alignment with our firm’s ESG investment objectives and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Strategy:
- Develop and implement investment strategies for infrastructure equity in Milan, Italy.
- Define investment criteria and parameters, including asset types, sectors, and risk profiles.
- Identify and assess market trends and opportunities for infrastructure investments.
- Develop and implement investment strategies for infrastructure equity in Milan, Italy.
- Deal Origination and Execution:
- Source, evaluate, and conduct due diligence on potential infrastructure investment opportunities.
- Lead negotiations, structuring, and execution of equity investments.
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and technical teams to ensure successful deal closure.

- Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the management and optimization of existing infrastructure equity investments.
- Monitor the performance of portfolio assets, identify value creation opportunities, and manage risks.
- Develop and execute asset enhancement strategies to maximize returns for investors.

- Investor Relations:
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with investors, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
- Provide regular updates and reports on investment performance and strategy execution.
- Participate in fundraising efforts as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- Proven experience (8+ years) in infrastructure equity investments with a strong track record of successful deals in Italy
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure asset classes, financial modeling, and risk analysis
- Strong negotiation and deal execution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of ESG and sustainability principles in infrastructure investments is a plus
