
Group Financial Controller

We are partnering with a privately owned, Irish-headquartered multinational group operating across multiple European jurisdictions to appoint a Group Financial Controller into a key finance leadership role.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, the successful candidate will take ownership of group financial control, consolidation, compliance, and external reporting across a complex multi-entity structure.
The role will suit an experienced accountant who enjoys operating at both a strategic and executional level, and who is comfortable acting as a technical authority within the business.
Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and production of senior management reporting

Own the year-end group audit process and preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements

Act as the technical accounting lead across the group, advising on complex accounting matters and IFRS interpretations

Oversee financial governance, compliance, and control frameworks across multiple jurisdictions

Partner closely with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business to support performance and decision-making

Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 10+ years post-qualification experience

Strong background in group reporting and consolidation within a multi-entity environment

Demonstrable experience leading audits and managing external stakeholders (auditors, banks, advisers)

High level of technical accounting expertise (IFRS and statutory reporting)

Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and confident operating at senior leadership level
