
Financial Accountant – Construction & Engineering

We are working with a rapidly growing international engineering and construction organisation to appoint a Financial Accountant into a high-performing finance team. This role offers excellent exposure to multi-entity reporting, international operations, and process improvement within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
The position is well suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys taking ownership of core accounting processes while contributing to the evolution of systems, controls, and reporting frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple jurisdictions, including variance analysis.
- Supporting month-end close activities, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Supporting the annual audit process under FRS 102.
- Liaising with external advisors and third-party providers to ensure local statutory compliance.
- Driving continuous improvement in accounting processes, controls, and reporting quality.
- Supporting systems enhancements, automation, and digitalisation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- 2+ years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability.
- Experience working in multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction environments advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills; exposure to ERP systems (e.g. SAP B1 or similar) beneficial.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to deadlines.
