Finance Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a steady, detail-oriented finance professional seeking a long-term role with flexibility and autonomy.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Senior Accountant/ Finance Manager will oversee all day-to-day financial operations for a small but growing business. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys end-to-end responsibility across bookkeeping, payroll oversight, and statutory reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Process supplier invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Oversee outsourced payroll and ensure timely, accurate completion each month.
- Prepare and submit VAT and other statutory returns.
- Support month-end close and management accounts preparation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accounting Technician, Part-Qualified/ Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- 0+ years’ experience in an SME or similar hands-on finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
