Accounting Team Lead

We are supporting a growing organisation in the appointment of an Accounting Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper, Accounts Supervisor, or Part-Qualified Accountant looking to step into a broader role combining financial reporting, team leadership, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of bookkeeping and financial reporting across a portfolio of entities.
- Prepare and review management accounts, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day queries and building strong relationships.
- Review the work of the team, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
- Support and develop junior team members while driving consistent processes and best practice.
Key Requirements:
- Accounting Technician (ATI/AAT), part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA, or qualified by experience.
- Strong bookkeeping experience, including management accounts, payroll, VAT, and month-end processes.
- Previous supervisory experience, or the ambition and capability to step into a team leadership role.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks, together with strong Excel skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and client-focused approach.
