Group Financial Controller

We are partnering with a privately owned, Irish-headquartered multinational group operating across multiple European jurisdictions to appoint a Group Financial Controller into a key finance leadership role.

The Role

Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, the successful candidate will take ownership of group financial control, consolidation, compliance, and external reporting across a complex multi-entity structure.

The role will suit an experienced accountant who enjoys operating at both a strategic and executional level, and who is comfortable acting as a technical authority within the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and production of senior management reporting
  

• Own the year-end group audit process and preparation of consolidated statutory financial statements
  

• Act as the technical accounting lead across the group, advising on complex accounting matters and IFRS interpretations
  

• Oversee financial governance, compliance, and control frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
  

• Partner closely with senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business to support performance and decision-making
  

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 10+ years post-qualification experience
  

• Strong background in group reporting and consolidation within a multi-entity environment
  

• Demonstrable experience leading audits and managing external stakeholders (auditors, banks, advisers)
  

• High level of technical accounting expertise (IFRS and statutory reporting)
  

• Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and confident operating at senior leadership level
