DevOps Engineer

Elevate Partners are working exclusively with a leading trading firm to recruit an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their high-performing technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to play a key role in building and optimising the infrastructure that supports complex trading systems in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable software releases.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring across production and development environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, traders, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of trading applications.
• Manage cloud and on-premises environments with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement best practices around system reliability, incident response, and disaster recovery
• Continuously improve observability, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system health and uptime.
• Support regulatory and compliance requirements within infrastructure and deployment frameworks.
  

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role within a high-availability environment (ideally financial services, trading, or technology).
  
• Strong expertise with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar).
  
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
  
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and Linux-based systems.
  
• Experience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments a strong advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative trading environment.
