Data Privacy Specialist

Our client, a leading Property Management firm, are seeking a Data Privacy Specialist to join the team on a full-time basis. In this job you will lead privacy and data responsibility programs across the firm and be responsible for ensuring compliance with Privacy, Data and AI laws. *This role will be based in office full-time during probation*.
Key Responsibilities of the Data Privacy Specialist will include:
- Operate as DPO for the firm and fulfill all related obligations as mandated under the EU GDPR and other relevant frameworks.
- Manage privacy control frameworks, conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Respond to data protection queries and issues, both internally and externally.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify business requirements resulting from new and evolving privacy laws and regulations.
- Manage, monitor and negotiate privacy related commercial terms (e.g. Data Protection Agreements) with suppliers and clients
Key Requirements of the Data Privacy Specialist will include:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a data privacy/ data protection officer role
- Must hold a Professional Certification in data protection (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, ISO27001)
- Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to Irish and EU Privacy, Data and AI laws.
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field i.e. Legal, Business etc.
- Strong understanding of AI ethics and data responsibility.
