  1. Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in
the renewable energy industry working on project development activities.  The candidate should be able to demonstrate
consistent contribution to the development of renewable energy projects,
showing technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership potential
across the full development lifecycle from feasibility analysis to
pre-construction.  The candidate will be
capable of working across complex organisations and dynamic environments that
are prone to regular change.  

  1. Responsibilities:

·       Supporting the
development of utility scale PV projects from inception through to ready to
build status and any subsequent sales process.

·       Assess potential
sites for solar and/or BESS including resource analysis and grid connection
feasibility.

·       Familiarity with
planning applications, environmental impact assessments, and local/national
regulations.

·       Gathering resource
data, environmental constraints, and preparing reports, use GIS based tools to
undertake site screening and constraint analysis.

·       Assisting in due
diligence for acquisitions or joint ventures.

·       Secure land rights
– negotiate with landowners and agents to secure Heads of Terms, Option and
Lease Agreements, working with internal legal counsel and external law firms.

·       Develop project
planning applications through either local or national consenting
processes. 

·       Co-ordination of
various technical and environmental advisors to inform the planning
applications, ensure that all planning submissions, appeals and RFI’s are
lodged in a timely manner.

·       Organise community
engagement and attend public meetings or exhibitions to explain the project,
its benefits, and potential impacts.

·       Engage with local
residents, landowners, parish councils, and community.

·       Secure and
maintain grid connection arrangements – working with grid advisors and
specialists to secure and maintain grid offers to both transmission and
distribution networks.

·       Understand
differences in substation configurations and provide value driven decisions to
various internal stakeholders.

·       Familiarity with
substation telecommunications and SCADA.

·       Layout designs and
energy assessments – work with designers to assess site suitability to optimise
capacity and yield on available land.

·       Assess,
appoint and manage subcontractors and technical consultants who will assist with
the project development tasks.

·       Assign
tasks and track deliverables from cross-functional team members and external
partners.

·       Coordinate
project meetings and report to Company management.

·       Proactively
identify, manage, and mitigate project issues and risks using the Company’s
project digitisation tools.

·       Manage project
budgets, including expense forecasts, spend-to-date, and invoice approvals.

·       Work with the
commercial team to prepare and maintain investment models feeding in technical
input assumptions.

·       Ensure
all project documentation is kept up to date and well organised to facilitate
use by internal and external stakeholders.
